COLLECTION NOTE

With FALL 2022 Marie-Christine Statz is introducing a CORE collection of nine garments that represent the GAUCHERE archetype. It consists of suiting showing the house’s key silhouettes of broad shoulders and an emphasis on the waist. The all black tailoring is completed by a black dress and top, a fitted ribbed turtleneck sweater, an oversized cotton shirt as well as a pair of denim trousers.

The Fall 2022 collection is all about texture. Luscious boucles, rich double-faced cashmere wool, fluffy tech yarns, all over sequins, structured wools, chenille knits, liquid silks and translucent chiffon with velvety embroidery build the tactile spectrum of this season.

The signature coats and jackets come with wide shoulders and an angular patched breast pocket. They are paired with loose trousers that open up with full length zippers. The dresses have long and lean silhouettes but a relaxed attitude with their cut-outs, open backs and crossed straps. A multicolour mohair turtleneck that is shown with top to bottom denim as well as a black and white windbreaker made of water-repellent cotton and with zippers on the sleeves and sides reflect the easy mood of this collection. Soft shades of woodbine yellow and saffron, pastel lilac, poppy red and a range of olive greens are the defining colours of this season.

The 20 key looks were photographed in the neighbourhood of the GAUCHERE Studio in the 1st arrondissement.
